William Hilton Nicholas, age 90, of Grayling, MI, passed away peacefully at his home on September 14, 2025, with his sons by his side.
Born on January 14, 1935, in Wellsboro, PA, to Henry and Niona (née Clark) Nicholas, William was raised in Clinton Township, MI. He was a passionate outdoorsman and archer, who greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his sons, David Nicholas and Mark Nicholas; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; his brother, James Nicholas; and sister, Ruth (Nicholas) Tabor. William was predeceased by his wife, Josephine Ann Edelmann; his son, William Nicholas; and his brother, Charles Nicholas.
A Gathering to Celebrate the Life of William Nicholas will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling, MI.
