William George Rutter, 78, of Grayling, passed away on January 26, 2022.
He was born in Flint to the late William and Ruth (Rolfe) Rutter. William’s family previously owned and operated Rutter’s Lumber in Grayling. He married Linda Fisher in Las Vegas in 1999. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.
Survived by his wife Linda of Grayling. Children: Mark Rutter of Grayling and Jason Rutter of Oregon. Lloyd (Jen) Fisher of Grayling. Grandchildren Eric Rutter, Gavin Fisher, Damian and Dylan Zahn, and Vincent McKee. Sister Gayle Mertz of Flint. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Ron Rutter, and stepdaughters Melissa Blevins and Christy Zahn.
A Celebration of Williams Life will be held at Grayling Eagles on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.
