William J Cox
William J. Cox, age 90, of South Boardman, MI passed away unexpectedly on March 21, 2024.
He was born on February 25, 1934 to William A. and Lois R. (Coon) Cox in Frederic, MI. He loved farm animals, hunting, and guns. William was the sole survivor when all his brothers joined the military and went to war, leaving him to care for the farm and be a farmer all his life. He never passed down the opportunity for side jobs. William was a humbled man who raised his kids to the best of his ability. He was a simple man who loved being in the company of his children and grandchildren. He had a lot of love for his family. William Cox, also known as "Bill Cox '' and "Uncle Bill '' though he has passed, will live on in our memories forever. The lives he has touched are nothing short of grateful for his presence. May he rest in the peaceful paradise he had created around him all the days of his life. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. - 1 CORINTHIANS 13:13
Survived by: Children; William (Ashlea) Cox, Megan Stott, Naomi (Rodney) Silk, Andrew Yost, and Leeanna Yost. Ex-Wife; Patricia Cox. 14 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. Preceded by: Children; Joel Cox, Colleen Cox, and Jason Cox.
A memorial service will take place at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Monday, May 20th, 2024 1:00 PM with visitation starting at 11:00 AM.
