William James Cooper

William James Cooper Sr., 84, of Grayling, Michigan and formerly of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 12, 2016. He married Marjorie Elizabeth Houghton on November 25, 1956 in Boston, Massachusetts. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Chief Dental Technician. Survived by his wife, Marjorie. Children: Cheryl Ann (Jim) Cooper of Michigan; William James (Debra) Cooper, Jr. of Butler, Pennsylvania; John Robert (Susan) Cooper of Oil City, Pennsylvania; David Wayne Cooper of Michigan; Neil Robert (Tina) Cooper of Butler, Pennsylvania; Theresa Ann (James) Minor of Michigan. 17 Grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Sister: Minah Potacek and Grace (Ralph) Scherder of Butler, Pennsylvania. Preceded in death by brothers Bruce and Charles Scherder. Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Friday, October 14, 2016 between 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Grayling.
