Wendy Gay Thompson, 62, of Grayling, passed away on December 19, 2020.
She was born in Cadillac on January 7, 1958 to Samuel and Betty Swinehart. Wendy married Richard Thompson on February 2, 1974. She proudly raised her family and then attended Bronson School of Nursing and graduated as a RN in 1985. She worked at Bronson Neonatal Intensive Care and Borgess-Pipp hospital. Wendy moved to Grayling in 2000 and worked at Mercy Hospital OB and ER. Wendy enjoyed gardening, camping, and dogs Presley and Teddy. Most of all she loved babies and spending time with her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Survived by her husband Dick of 46 years.; Children: James (Betty Allen) Thompson, Matthew (Christen Julien) Thompson, and Justin Thompson. Wendy was blessed with 7 grandchildren. Mother: Betty Swinehart; Sisters: Penny Stoner, Lori Rad, Jodie Vandenheede, Brother: Brad Swinehart and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father.
