Thomas Mitchelle Davinney, age 79, of Grayling, MI sadly passed away at his home on July 18, 2026.

Tom was born in Detroit, MI to Lawrence and Jeannette (Mitchell) Davinney on December 9, 1946.

Out of high school Tom served in the Navy during the Vietnam war. He retired from the Army National Guard after working at Camp Grayling for many years, even returning after retirement as a civilian employee. Tom even earned his black belt. 

He loved to ride his Triumph motorcycle back in his day. He enjoyed a few cocktails now and then and enjoyed working on cars and tinkering in his garage. At his home, rather than hunting the deer in his backyard, he fed them and liked to watch them.

Tom will be missed by his sisters; Katherine Burgei of West Branch, Patricia (Ken) Toreli of Roseville, and Susan (Tony) David of Novi; son, Thomas Davinney; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Barbara Reiman; brothers, Terry Davinney and Larry Davinney; daughter, Tammy Davinney; aunt, Marie Mitchell; and his parents.

Tom will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI in the near future.
