Roy Conrad Wehnes, 97, of South Branch Township, passed away on September 20, 2020.
He was born in Eldorado on July 4, 1923 to the late Conrad and Katie (Lamm) Wehnes. Roy served in the US Army during WWII. He was preceded in death in 2002 by his wife Genevieve after 41 years of marriage. Roy was retired from GM and operated Whipporwill Acres Campground in Grayling.
Survived by his son Patrick (Roxanne) Wehnes of Texas. Grandchildren: Bradley Wehnes, Brandy Hamilton, Shannon Craig, Patricia Lee, and April Kulaszewski. Great grandchildren: Sean, Aaron, Dylan, Ryan, Gavin, Meaghan, Grace, Kyle, Kaelah, Kaleena, Trenton, and Aylissa. Great great grandchildren: Brian, Gabriella, Scarlett, Kayliana, Kaymya, Juillett, and Isaac.
Roy will be buried next to Genevieve at Rock Cemetery in South Branch Township, following a graveside service on September 25, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
