Roger John Phillips

Roger John Phillips, 84, of Lovells, MI passed away on November 23, 2018. Survived by wife of 62 years, Joanne (Simpson) Phillips; children, Debra Lynn Rank and Roger D. Phillips; grandchildren, Joshua Phillips, Terese Marie Remelts, Alexander Rank, Jessica Lyn Whitney, Nathan Rank and Caitlin Marie Phillips; 7 great grandchildren; and sister, Esther Jacobson of Vassar, MI. Roger is preceded in death by son, Dale J. Phillips, daughter-in-law, Lisa Ann Phillips, and siblings, Marie Adams and Richard Peruchiti. Roger was born in Saginaw, MI on November 9, 1934. Roger served in the Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953. He is a former member of the VFW Saginaw group. He served as post commander and quarter master for many years. He retired from Consumers Energy in 1994 and moved to Lovells, MI. A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 1-4 PM at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home.
