Robert "BOB" LeRoy Kayga, 74, of Grayling (and formerly of Pontiac), passed away on September 11, 2020.

He was born in Pontiac on September 3, 1946 to the late Robert W. and Evelyn (Reamer) Kayga. He graduated from Pontiac Northern High School. He married Janet Attenberger in March of 1968 in Pontiac. Janet passed away in 2009 after 41 years of marriage. Bob retired from Pontiac Motors in 1994. He enjoyed volunteering in activities at P.A.L. (Pontiac Police Athletic League), and donating time with Pontiac Community Centers and Pontiac Parks and Recreation.. He also enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, boating, snomobiling, and was a Longstanding Fan of Grayling Viking Sports. Bob was a member of Grayling Eagles and Grayling Moose.

Survived by his children: Shawn (Wayne) Kayga, Robert (Janet) Kayga, and Kerry (Ray) Kayga, all of Grayling. Grandchildren: Mitchell Thompson and Clarissa Kayga and great grandson, Tatum. Sisters: Sherrie Kayga and Kim (Steve) Shaw. And nephews: Bryan and Brandon.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 15, 2020, 1-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. A funeral service for Bob will take place Wednesday, September 16, 2020, 12:00 pm at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home with Pastor David Longstaff officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. A luncheon and afterglow to share memories of Bob will be at Grayling Eagles following his burial.
