Rob Friday

Rob Friday - 11.2.79 - 12.13.22. Friday was born in Adrian Michigan and called St. Helen home. He was a lifelong Michigander and a graduate of Roscommon High School. He attended Kirtland Community College.

Every moment in Friday’s life he was crafting his legacy, and often spoke of what he would leave behind. He personalized everything he touched because his name and his family were immensely important to him. He hoped the music he wrote and played so well would be part of his legacy. But there is much more. Every day he looked inside himself for the love and the light where he believed creation began for him.

People who cared for him repeatedly call him a “true friend.” Love, kindness, unwavering loyalty, and his generosity are his greatest legacy. Everyone who knew Friday can take whatever he gave them, whether good, bad, difficult, or joyous, and make it a part of their life to bear witness that Friday loved others and was loved.

Friday is survived by his mother Brandy Friday, of St. Helen, his brother James Clayton of Michigan, and his sisters Sheila Friday of North Carolina, and Tamara Friday Sabatini of Florida, and by his longtime partner Jomarie Leone. He was preceded in death by his brother Todd Friday of St. Helen on 12.8.22.
