Nancy Lee Nunn

October 12, 1936 — December 16, 2017

Nancy (Snider) Nunn joined her husband of 50 years, Melvin (Pat) Nunn, in Heaven, on December 16, 2017, and they are dancing the night away. In Grayling, where she made her home for 46 years, she was known as a longtime kindergarten teacher at Grayling Elementary School. She always enjoyed talking with "her kids" when they stopped her in town. She remembered a lot of them by name. Besides teaching, Nancy enjoyed traveling and Oregon was the only state that she hadn't been to. She had also visited a majority of the Canadian Provinces and Europe with her husband and family. After retirement, when she wasn't traveling, Nancy volunteered at her daughter Paula's elementary school in Saginaw and at Grayling Elementary. She also attended many of her grandkids functions when possible. Besides brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews, etc., Nancy will be remembered by her children: Penny & Dean Barrick and their children Jarrad (& Christen) and Connor; Holly Nunn and her children Jordan (& Jesse) Place, Autumn, Trenton and Gwendolyn; Patrick & Christine Nunn and their son Lucas; and Paula Nunn and her children Marek and Abby. We are honoring Nancy's wishes to be cremated and a memorial service for her is being planned for February 10, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church in Grayling. Family will receive visitors at 11:00 a.m.In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to one of the following: Grayling Elementary School library (checks made out as stated with Nancy Nunn books on the memo line), American Diabetes Association ( or Grayling Commission on Aging Food Bank ( Condolences may be sent to Arrangements by Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home.
