Mikel Seth Stanley

Mikel Seth Stanley, 52, of Grayling, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in a tragic drowning accident. He was born in Carson City, Michigan on April 11, 1965 to Daryl and Ruthann (Bailey) Stanley. Mikel married Jill Clark on August 28, 1999 at St. John Lutheran Church in Grayling. He enjoyed the great outdoors especially fishing with my Jill. Mikel enjoyed trains and brought that passion to his home by creating model trains in N scale, he designed and cut each piece by scratch. He also enjoyed his Harley, which he also built by himself. Survived by his wife Jill of 17 years. Children: Tabbitha Pelkey and Seth Stanley. Mother: Ruthann (Michael) Friedrich of Rose City. Sister: Susan Stanley of Kansas. Father in law: Jack (Elaine) Clark and Eugene Lobsinger Step mother in law: Cheryl (Richard) Kay Sisters and brothers in law: Jason (Lorraine) Clark; Jack (Nora) Clark, Jr.; Stephanie Clark; Melissa Lobsinger; Jeff Lobsinger; Brett (Jill) Brown; and Allen (Julie) Brown. Mikel was also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Orrison and E. Joyce Bailey; and an uncle, Brent Bailey; and mother in law, Dixie Lobsinger. A Celebration of Mikel's Life will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 between 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Beaver Creek Town Hall.
