Michael John Hilyard

Michael John Hilyard, 69, of Frederic, MI., left his earthly home to be welcomed to his Heavenly home. Michael was born in Pontiac, MI on December 3, 1945, son of the late Alice Jean (Andrews) and John Leonard Hilyard. He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Michael married the former Agnes Perez on September 27, 1975 in Pontiac. His wife, Agnes, of almost 40 years survives him. Mike loved his family, traveling, fishing, and music. Survived by daughter in law: Monica (Dave) Dukaj of West Branch. Grandchildren: Valerie, Levi, Kate, and Gavin. Sister: Nancy Hilyard of Frederic. Preceded in death by son, John Hilyard and his parents. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 between 11-12 noon at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Memorial service will begin at 12 noon with Dr. Robert Barnett officiating.
