Marilyn Cheryl Tinker

Marilyn Cheryl Tinker, 70, of Grayling, passed away peacefully at home on January 24, 2020.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Jamie Walker of Oregon and Kristen Keswick (Walker) and her husband Brian of Oregon; Grandchildren, Bradley and Gregory Keswick; step-children, Katie Tinker of Grayling, Robbie Tinker of Grayling and Karie Knight of Holt, MI and their families; and sister, Christine Houle of Pinconning, MI. She is preceeded in death by both parents, Mary and Cyril, and her husband, Dale Tinker.

 

Marilyn was born in Flint, but was raised in Grayling. She graduated from Grayling High School in 1968 and went on to  attend Michigan Tech in Houghton, MI.  Marilyn later completed her Associate's Degree in Business Administration at Kirkland Community College. She held various positions as a billing specialist and toward the latter part of her career worked as an office manager.

 

Marilyn enjoyed relaxing on her deck--reading and spending time with her dogs.  She also loved the outdoors, trail riding, horses, and attending car shows. She especially savored time at the beach and whale watching. She was an active member of Women of The Moose Lodge.

 

Marilyn's memorial service will take place at the American Legion in Grayling on Friday, July 24, at 2:00 PM.
