Louise Anne Studaker

September 9, 1955 — February 25, 2021

Louise (LouAnne) Studaker passed away on February 25, 2021, surrounded by her family after a courageous, short battle with cancer.

She was born to Martin and Bernadine Foley in Detroit, Michigan. She was a graduate of Star of the Sea High School in Grosse Pointe and moved to Croswell-Lexington area where she made lifelong friends and memories before moving to Grayling in 2007 where she enjoyed more treasured friendships. She was a strong and fun loving woman that loved big get-togethers with family and friends, wine time by the river, trips to the casino, golfing, kayaking, gardening, traveling, and especially relaxing on Florida’s Siesta Key beach. LouAnne was a dedicated employee for many years at MJ Foley Company as well as Industrial Air Technologies, where she built lasting relationships with everyone she encountered.

LouAnne was a loving and supportive wife to Steve Shellenbarger, mother to Sarah (Doug) Glassford, Michelle (Chris) Taylor, Jennifer (Muideen) Studaker, Kate (Steve) Feick, Dana (Mike) Keinath, Jenae Shellenbarger, and Brad (Heather) Shellenbarger. She was Grandma Lou to Jaxson, Rylynn, Makalo, Isaac, Aleyah, Hayleigh, Noah, Kaleb and Grace. She will be deeply missed by her siblings Mary Foley, Sue (Al) Foley, Martin (Cheryl) Foley, Kathy Westbrook, Julia (Marty) O’Brien, and Jennifer Foley, as well as many close nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and the many close friends that became our extended family. She will also be dearly missed by Meika and Greta; her loving dogs. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Foley.

The family will be hosting a memorial service this summer to celebrate LouAnne’s life. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made and sent to the family to be distributed to the Grayling Infusion Center Garden Project and the St. Judes Children’s Hospital, both of which were very important to LouAnne.

We will meet you in the sunsets.

Donations can be sent to: In Memory of Louise Studaker (Steve Shellenbarger) ℅ Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home, PO Box 602, Grayling, MI 49738.
