Lola Marie McLandsborough

Lola Marie McLandsborough, age 78, of Grayling, MI passed away at Munson Healthcare - Grayling Hospital on July 14, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 21, 1947, in Anderson, IN to Reverend John Miller and Edna (Petersen) Miller. She was gifted with a beautiful singing voice. In her youth, she and her sisters often sang as a trio at church and within the community. Her love of God and music continued throughout her life. She was also an avid reader and well known at the local library.

Lola married Jerry McLandsborough on her birthday on March 21, 1970. They resided near Cedar, IA for more than 20 years. When her children left home to attend college, she decided to pursue higher education as well. She attended Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, IA where she received a degree in Health Information Technology and a diploma in medical insurance coding. She worked as a coding specialist in Boonville, MO, then Kalamazoo, MI for many years before retiring.

She will be missed by her children, Jenevive (Simon) Chan of Tiffin, IA and Timothy McLandsborough (Heidi Allsup) of Hedrick, IA; grandchildren, Arya Chan and Dylan McLandsborough; sister, Susan (Brian) Rider; brother, Earl (Ellen) Miller; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry McLandsborough, parents John and Edna Miller, sister Linda Aspinwall, brother-in-law Aaron Aspinwall, and niece Rosa Aspinwall.

A graveside memorial will take place at Unions Mills Cemetery in New Sharon, IA in the near future.
