Leon Francis D'Amour, 80, of Grayling passed away peacefully at home on April 5, 2022 in the loving arms of his wife, Jackie of 60 years and son, Monty and daughter-in-law, Patty.
Leon was born on May 8, 1941 in Saginaw to Leo and Emma Louise (Gierke) D'Amour. He enjoyed going for long car rides and making stops at Michigan casinos. He worked 33 years at the Crawford AuSable School District and 22 years at Camp Grayling until retiring at the age of 79. He enjoyed going to Camp Grayling and seeing his friends. He lived in the same home for 59 years and raised 2 wonderful sons.
Leon is survived by his wife Jackie D'Amour; sons Perry (Nancy) D'Amour and Monty (Patty) D'Amour; grandchildren Michael (Arica), Nicholas (Megan), Ryan (Emily) and Lauren (Ryan); great-grandchildren Lexi, Cali, Mylei, Easton, Ryder, and Abigail; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by infant daughter Penny and his parents.
