Larry D. Baynham

Larry D. Baynham, Sr. 79, of Maple Forest Township, passed away on June 18, 2019. Larry was born in Grayling on August 1, 1939 to the late Carrie (Feldhauser) and Ted Baynham. He graduated from Frederic High School , Class of 1957. Larry married Rebecca Sworthwood on October 7, 1957 in Grayling. They were married for 52 years before she preceded him in death in 2010. Larry owned and operated Larry Baynham Forest Products and Maple Forest Horse Farm He married Alice Moore on January 7, 2012 in Maple Forest Township. Larry was known as a hard worker and always made time for his family sports events. He still insisted on listening to Grayling Vikings on the radio. He enjoyed duck hunting and deer hunting. Larry was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. Survived by his wife Alice of Maple Forest Township. Children: Ed (Patti) Baynham of Maple Forest Township; Joan (Art) Canfield of Florence, Wisconsin; Ted (Ali) Baynham of Maple Forest Township; Daughter in law, Sandy (Tom Weideman) Baynham of Maple Forest Township; and Son in law, Jay Osga of Maple Forest Township. 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Sister: Carol (Richard) Williams of Maple Forest Township. Preceded in death by: Parents; infant brother, Gerald Lee Baynham; son, Larry Baynham, Jr.; and daughter, Jane Osga. Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Friday, June 21, 2019 between 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11:00. Interment will be held at Maple Forest Township Cemetery. Family request that in lieu of flowers, consideration for donation to Heritage Baptist Church be given.
