Kathryn Mary Ketelhut

Kathryn (Kathy) M. Ketelhut, age 74, formerly of Houghton Lake, passed away peacefully Friday, August 4, 2023, at The Brook in Grayling, MI. 

Kathy graduated in 1967 from Cody High School in Detroit, MI.   Kathy received an associate degree in finance. Kathy loved sewing, travel and spending time with Arthur. She was an active member of St. John’s Church in Houghton Lake, MI. 

Kathy was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Kathy was a wonderful person who cared for her family and friends. She will be missed every day. Kathy loved animals, especially her dogs over the years. Little Bit was Kathy’s favorite. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Deward and Athalia (Annis) Gilmer, Sr., brother Deward Gilmer, Jr., brother James Gilmer, and brother-in-law and sister Raymond and Linda Tadajewski.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Ketelhut, sons Todd (Renee) Ritchey, Brian (Amanda) Ritchey, daughter Leeann Ritchey, grandchildren, Gavin, Kyle (Becca), Kennedy, Spencer, and Parker, former daughter-in-law Tracee (Blake) Shrode, Leandra and Brynlee, and many extended family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 11AM Saturday, August 26 at St. John’s Church 2888 W. Houghton Lake Rd. Houghton Lake, MI with Pastor Paul Kruse officiating.

The Family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care of the Brook in Grayling during her final days.
