June Evelyn Haines, 103 yrs old, passed away on March 22, 2026 at The Brook of Grayling.

June was born on August 7, 1922 to Mabel and Earl Bergey of Flint, Michigan.

She married Kenneth Haines and they spent many happy years at their home at Higgins Lake. June was employed by the DNR and later worked as a secretary at Camp Nokomis, Houghton Lake. She was a very active member in the Sweet Adelines was a member of The Church of Christ Restored. June was famous for her delicious pies and she enjoyed traveling. She was on the Board of Directors for the North Central Area Credit Union. When Ken and June retired, they moved to June's family home in Loomis, Michigan.

June is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Haines; parents, Mabel and Earl Bergey; brother, Glen Bergey; and daughter-in-law, Deborah Vogel Haines.

She is survived by her son, Bruce L. Haines of Independence, Missouri; four granddaughters, Lisa (Haines) Herrera, Jill (Haines) Bolt, Hilary Haines, and Jenni Lomonte; two grandsons, Jason Vogel and John Vogel; 11 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
