Juliene K. Pettyjohn, 92, of Grayling, MI, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015. Juliene was born in Cadillac on March 4, 1923, a daughter of the late Gladys (Garver) and Ralph Swanquist. She married Weldon Jack Pettyjohn on May 26, 1942 in Cadillac, MI. He preceded her in death in 1987, after 44 years of marriage. Juliene was a member of Mt. Hope Lutheran Church. She loved her grandchildren, was family oriented, an avid reader, and did a lot of volunteer work. Survived by her children: Gary (Donna) Pettyjohn of Grayling; Penny Millikin of Roscommon; David Pettyjohn of Grayling; Ben (Pat) Pettyjohn of Texas; Kirby (Lynn) Pettyjohn of Traverse City; Robin (Carl) Kleihege of Port Huron. She was also survived by 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Sister: Shirley (Paul) Weaver of New Mexico. Preceded in death by parents; husband; son in law, Floyd Millikin and daughter in law, Irene Pettyjohn. Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 between 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. with service beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Todd Brunworth officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in spring. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.sorensonlockwood.com.
