Joyce Etta Ingalls

Joyce Etta Ingalls, age 88, of Grayling, MI passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Northern Pines Assisted Living on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

She was born on November 29, 1936 in Flint, MI to Vernon and Lenora (Peterson) Kietzman. Joyce enjoyed working HAM radio with her late husband Mike, traveling in their RV, and always having family around her. She was especially fond of big family gatherings with lots of food. She liked to cook and was very good at it. She enjoyed reading, bowling, and was in a bowling league for years. She bowled quite well. Her sweet smile and cheerful demeanor will be missed by those who loved her.

She is survived by her children, Marcia St. Vincent of St. Peter, MN, Joy (Joe) Ely of Grayling, and Lisa (Bobby) Ingalls-Thackeray of Bluffton, SC; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Mike Ingalls, son Ray Ingalls, both parents, and brothers Vic Kietzman and Dale Kietzman.

Joyce's family will greet visitors on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 12:00 pm until the beginning of funeral service at 1:00 pm at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling, MI. A luncheon will follow at Tinker's Junction. Joyce will be laid to rest with her husband Mike at Great Lakes National Cemetery on a future date.
