JohnR Ockerman, 64, of Grayling, Michigan passed away on March 2, 2024.
JohnR was born on December 4, 1959 in Santa Ana, California to the late Jack and Barbara (VanHorn) Ockerman. JohnR spent his early years in Owosso, Michigan and then moved to Grayling with his family. He was an Army veteran, serving at Fort Hood, Texas. His working career consisted of masonry and dry walling. He cared for his elderly mother in Anacoco, Louisiana for many years after the passing of his father. He was also an avid fisherman until he was no longer physically able to do so.
JohnR is survived by his former wife Ann (Carvers) Butters and his step children; Katherin Shook, Casandra Crowell, and Samual Crowell. Brothers; Toc Ockerman, RobRoy (Alice) Ockerman, and Duno (Leslie) Ockerman and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Jack and Barbara Ockerman.
A future memorial will be planned this summer.
