John William Rolfe

John William Rolfe, 89, of Grayling, MI passed away on August 1, 2024. He is survived by his son John (Sue) Rolfe of Topeka, KS, daughter Anne Kubo of Traverse City, MI, 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. 

A Michigan resident his entire life, predominantly in the Maple Forest area, John loved the land, forests, and waterways as exhibited by his hobbies of hunting, fishing, farming and woodworking. 

John is preceded in death by his beloved wife Carolyn of 63 years, his parents George and Eva Rolfe, his son William J. Rolfe, and siblings George (Bud) Rolfe, Doris Anthony, Laurel Swendner, James Rolfe, Paul Rolfe, and Muriel Leng.

Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling on Thursday, August 15, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. with funeral services immediately following and burial at the Maple Forest Cemetery.
