James William Williamson

James William Williamson, 79, of Maple Forest Township, MI, formerly of Harrison, MI, passed away peacefully at his home April 1, 2018. James was born to 2nd Lieutenant William Mertens Williamson and Virginia Ethel (Pobur) Hauck in Detroit on July 29, 1938. He worked for Harrison Schools for 27 years and was an ambulance driver/EMT for United Rescue for 18 years. He also served as a reserve police officer for the city of Harrison. He loved his animals, especially his labs, Dommie and Harley. James is survived by his wife, Mary (Wysocki) Williamson; children, Bernie (Kim) Williamson, Jon (Dawn) Williamson, Daniel (Cheryl) Williamson, Laura Wysocki, Kelly (Shawn) Garner, Alec (Dayna) Williamson and Eric (Dariel) Williamson; grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Chynna, Sierra, Illyra and Oslo; and great grandchild, Avalon. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and stepfather, Bernard F. Hauck. James' family has decided to remember him privately. Condolences may be expressed at www.sorensonlockwood.com.
