Mr. Howard John "BUTCH" Wright, 58, of Grayling, passed away on Sunday, November 12th, 2006. Mr. Wright was born in Ferndale, Michigan on December 15, 1947, the son of the late Howard Edward and Wanda A (Kanouse) Wright. He served in the U.S. Army as a Private in the Vietnam War. He was employed as a Machinist at Parker-Hanefin Manufacturing Holt, MI., for 22 1/2 years before moving to Grayling in 2000. Butch married Regina (King) Wright on Dec. 15, 1991 at Grayling, Michigan. He was very close with his family. He enjoyed many activities with them like camping, cars, building, woodworking, Elvis, and watching western movies. He was a previous member of Grayling Eagles. He was a member of Burnung Bush Tabernacle. He is survived by his wife Regina of 14 years; Daughter: Ann (Jose) Godines of Lansing, MI. Judy Elizabeth Wright of Grayling, MI. Son(s): Howard E. (Christina) Wright of Lansing, MI., Jerry W. (Aimee) Wright of Eaton Rapids, MI. Step Daughter(s): Patricia (Kevin) Boynton of Holt, MI., Paula (Darrin) Malott of Nebraska. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren. Sister(s): Bonnie (Rick) Townsend of Mason, MI., Janis (David) Smith of Grayling, MI., Shirley (Roger) Clark of Hudson, MI., Sharon (Richard) Bice of Pittsford, MI., Diane Vennard of Tucson, AZ. Brother(s): William Wright of Grayling, MI. Uncle Thomas P. Wright & Connie Rowe of Grayling. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Judy Lynn Wright. Graveside Service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, Grayling, Michigan, on Saturday, November 18th, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Patricia Petrie officiating and Military Honors being accorded by American Legion Post 106, Camp Grayling Firing Squad, And U.S. Army.
