Genevieve Fraser, 89, formerly of Grayling passed away on Tuesday October 2, 2007. Genevieve was born in 1918 in Detroit, Michigan. In her early years she sang on the radio with the Wayne Gospel Team. Genevieve married William Fraser on February 10, 1934. They were married for 68 years before he preceded her in death in 2003. Genevieve had lived in Grayling for 31 years before moving to Saline in 2003. As the wife of a Methodist minister she was an active leader in may areas of the church. Most important in her life was her family. She also enjoyed music, traveling and camping, Survived by: Son: Ronald (Nora) Fraser of Sparta, Michigan Daughters: Patricia (John) Lundy of Oswego, Illinois Joyce (Phil) Davidson of Willis, Michigan Sandy Davidson of Saline, Michigan. Grandchildren: John "JT" (Renee) Lundy of Naperville, IL, Scot (Karla) Lundy of Oswego, IL, Lorraine (Jim) Hemmeter-VanCopponole of Ann Arbor, MI, Vincent Hemmeter of Worcester, MA, Angela (Tom) Hemmeter-Wernimont of Austin, TX, Dustin and Beau Davidson of Saline, Leslie (Eric) Day of Grand Rapids, MI, Shane (Tiffany) Fraser of Lakewood, CO. Great grandchildren: Calvin Lundy, Cooper Lundy, Colin Lundy, Jacob Day, Patrick Day, and Thomas Day, and Stephen Lundy. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her sister Aza Lyons. Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Thursday October 4, 2007 between 4 pm and 8 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday October 5, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church with Dr. William Cargo officiating.
