Eugene William Brown, 89, of Beaver Creek Twp, MI passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2024 in Grayling, MI.

A Celebration of Eugene's Life will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2024, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Beaver Creek Twp Hall, 8888 S Grayling Rd, Grayling, MI. A graveside burial will follow at Beaver Creek Twp Cemetery at 4:30 PM.

Eugene was born to Alfred and Crystal (Corbett) Brown in Clare County, MI on August 11, 1935. Growing up, he went to Beaver Creek School. He worked at Grayling Reel for 29 years until his retirement. Once retired, he became an avid reader. He loved spending time with his family and tinkering around his house.

Eugene is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marlene Esther (Estleman) Brown; children, Janet Parmer and Randy Brown both of Grayling; grandchildren, Jan Parmer of IN, Jason (Sharon) Parmer of Caldwell, TX, Melinda (Warren) Lowrey of Harrison, MI, and Leeann (Corey Burtts) Parmer of Caldwell, TX; great-grandchildren, Autumn Hamilton of Harrison, MI, Sean (Katie) Parmer of IN, Debbie (Daniel Gasper) Parmer of IN, Vicky Parmer of MI, Danielle (Dalton Dean) Parmer of Waco, TX, Heather Parmer of Caldwell, TX, and Melanie Parmer of Caldwell, TX; siblings, Richard Brown of Frederic, Joyce Padjett of Grayling, and Nolla G Brown of Battle Creek, MI; and many nieces and nephews.

Eugene is preceded in death by his parents Alfred F Brown and Crystal Faye Corbett, and siblings Alvin "Bud" Brown, Lillian Main, Mary Jane Bevier, Joan Wood, Linda Bussey, Charles Brown, and Donna Brown.
