Elsa Ronata Knutson

Elsa Ronata Knutson, age 104, of Grayling, Michigan passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025 at Mission Point Nursing Home in Roscommon, Michigan. 

Elsa was born to William and Mary (Pleckenpole) Diedrich in Chaska, Minnesota on September 8, 1920. She married Leonard Knutson on February 19, 1941 in Chaska, Minnesota. She was a member of Mt. Hope Lutheran Church in Grayling, Michigan. Elsa loved baking and making cakes. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, family get togethers, and spending quiet times with her husband Leonard.

Elsa is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Knutson and son Eugene Knutson.

Elsa is survived by children Larry (Carin) Knutson of Mt. Vernon, Texas, daughter-in-law Barbara Knutson of Fenton, Michigan, daughter Karen (Arthur) Orme of Flushing, Michigan, son Martin Knutson of Balch Springs, Texas, 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

A graveside memorial was held on June 18, 2025 at 12:00 pm at the Elmwood Cemetery in Grayling, Michigan to honor and celebrate the lives of Elsa and Leonard Knutson.
