Elizabeth Mary Christensen, known to her friends and family as Becky; age 86 of Higgins Lake, MI passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026.

Becky was born in Maple Forest Township, MI on September 7, 1939, to Ivan and Opal Hamblin.

Becky was a talented artist, from crafting ceramics in the 70’s to her many sketches and drawing of portraits. She was an avid collector of dolls, both vintage and modern.

She enjoyed bowling and snowmobiling in her earlier years. Later in life she was an active member of the TOPS organization, where she developed life-long friendships.

In her final years she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Becky will be dearly missed by her family, including her daughters, Michelle (Robert) Nimke of Higgins Lake, MI and Tonja (Denny) Christensen of Higgins Lake, MI; her grandchildren, Collin (Jazmyn) Nimke, Peyton Nimke, Jacob Sayad, Logan (Aurora) Sayad and Jaren Sayad; great grandchildren, Amelia Nimke, Gabriella Nimke and Parker Nimke; sister Dawn (Robert) Meabon; Aunt Barb (Ron) Larson; many nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved Beagle Pepper.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ivan and Opal Hamblin; siblings, Duane (Mary) Hamblin and Janet Hale; and daughter Christine Sayad.

A celebration of Becky’s life will take place in mid-April. In lieu of flowers, it would please Becky if you donated to your local animal shelter or rescue organization.
