Donna Jean Cheney

Donna Cheney, 72, of Lovells Township, passed away on October 5, 2020.

She was born in Clinton, Ohio on June 4, 1948 to the late Harry and Ada (Wandless) Mercer. Donna married Peyton Cheney on October 28, 1967 in Clinton, Ohio. Donna was a member of Johannesburg Christian Church. She loved reading her Bible. Donna loved sending and receiving cards. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening.

Survived by her husband, Peyton "Pete" of 53 years; Children: Brian (Lynn) Cheney of Grayling, John Cheney of Carlton, Jason Cheney of White Lake, and David (Randi) Cheney of New Boston; Grandchildren: Zach (Shae-lin), Becca, Layne, Mason, Dakotah, Haidyn, Garrett, Ryan, Zoey, Anna, and Everett; Brother: David Mercer and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Barb, and granddaughter, Skylar.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2020 beginning at 10:00 a.m. and up until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Luncheon will follow at Grayling Eagles. Condolences may be sent to www.sorensonlockwood.com.
