David Laurence Hubbard

Passing of David Laurence Hubbard, United States Army Veteran

25 April 1948 – 13 March 2023

David “Dave” Laurence Hubbard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He left this world to be with his beloved wife on Monday, March 13^th at age 74.

Dave was preceded in death by his wife Bethany Ann Hubbard who died on September 8^th, 2022. Dave missed his wife dearly and looked forward to reuniting with her in heaven.

Dave was born to Horace and Evelynn Hubbard on April 25^th, 1948. Dave served actively in Vietnam and was medically retired from Ford Motor Company in 1989. Dave married his wife (Beth) in 1972. Together during their 50 years of marriage, they had three children: David Jr. (Wife Jodi), Cristina Eames (Husband Steven), and Jennie. Dave also was blessed with loving grandchildren: Hailey, Connor, Brooke, Molly, Dominic, Max, and great grandson Gannin.

Dave was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. He spent many years of his retirement wandering the woods in Crawford and neighboring counties looking for the best places to Deer hunt. Dave was an exceptional woodsman and a crack shot. He also greatly enjoyed University of Michigan Football, camping, telling stories, and archery in his younger years.

Dave was extremely proud of his service to the country and always wore his Vietnam Veteran hat wherever he traveled. The family is planning a private military service this summer, with plans to inter his remains at a National Cemetery to be determined at a later date.
