David Joe Brown

David Joe Brown (80) of Grayling, MI passed away at his home Thursday, May 2, 2019. Dave was born May 28, 1938 in Harlan County, KY, to Willard and Leona (Lasley) Brown. He loved nature, and the Kentucky mountains and enjoyed golfing. He is retired from Chrysler and a member of the Grayling Eagles Club. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Juanita (Tubek) Brown; children, David (Marty) Brown, Jr., Alan (Dawn) Brown, Joetta (Scott) Donovan, Karen Brown, Bobbie Sue Brown, Mary Beth (Ritchie) Kelley, Robert Brown and Anita (Jim) Griffor; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna Sue Potts and Bonnie Boyer; and brother James Willard Brown. Dave is preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Brown; brother, Wayne Brown; and both of his parents. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 8, 2019, 3-7 p.m. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. A service will follow at 7 p.m. Interment will be at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, MI on Friday, May 10, 2019, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the Ronald McDonald House in David's name.
