Craig James Braun

Craig James Braun, age 79, of Gaylord, MI passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Grayling Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.

Craig was born in Detroit, MI on October 25, 1946 to James and Ruth (Tormyn) Braun. Craig grew up in the Detroit/Redford areas. He obtained an Eagle Scout as a young man, not an easy feat. He worked at a comic book store in Livonia, which happened to become his entire life's enjoyment.

Craig was an avid comic book reader, collector of all things comic and movies. He was a movie buff and was especially a huge fan of James Bond. Through movie and comic history, he got to meet many actors and actresses that worked in that genre. He would as often as possible attend the ComicCon conventions to see and hear all the new "buzz" in the comic world.

Craig is survived by his sister, Shirley Furget of Gaylord; nieces and nephews, Diana, Jeremy, Nathan, Kelly, Vicki, Virginia, and Jackie; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Karen Braun; brother, Terry Braun; and sister Jean Mensing.

Craig's family will remember him privately during this time. He will be laid to rest in the spring/summer of 2026 in the family plot at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia, MI.
