Caroline Margaret Varty

Caroline Margaret Varty, 85, of Grayling, passed away on October 10, 2019.

She was born on May 21, 1934 in St. Clair, Michigan to the late Edward and Leona (Gould) Suisse and spent most of her life there until moving to Grayling in 1984. Caroline worked as a LPN at Mercy Hospital in Port Huron.  Upon moving to Grayling, she learned to cross country ski and snowshoe, loved her dogs, enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Survived by her children: Lori (Craig) Overholt-Kottke of Bliss; Jeffery Varty of Richmond; Beth Varty of Boyne City, and Mary Varty of Grayling. Grandchildren: Brandon Szyska, Autumn Webster, Joshua Varty, Jennifer and Jodi Woodruff, Jeff and Joanie Varty . She is also survived by her brother, Walter Suisse; sister, Joan Charron, and grand dog, Sammie. Preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 5 sisters.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 and her service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.For those that wish to remember Caroline by memorial contribution, please consider AuSable Valley Animal Shelter or a shelter of your choice.
