With sadness we announce the passing of Carol Joyce Schultz, age 84, of Grayling, Michigan who passed peacefully at her home on May 28, 2026.

Carol was born in Detroit, MI to her parents William and Lillian (Burke) Nebus on May 18, 1942. She spent many years at her home on the Manistee River and loved living there. She was very involved with her church, Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church in Grayling, MI. There she served on the choir, helped with the Baby Closet, ran many women's bible studies, and helped on many other committees.

Carol is survived by her children, Kelly (Kevin) Thweatt and Ken (Tracey) Schultz; grandchildren, Christopher (Jackie) Thweatt, Adam Thweatt, Shelby (Robert) Helgemo, Lauren (Brandon) Kanowski, Brett Schultz, and Jorden Schultz; great-grandchildren, Gabriella Thweatt, Carly Thweatt, Carter Helgemo, Kane Kanowski, Bryce Kanowski, and Kolten Kanowski; and brother, Charles (Roberta) Nebus. Carol is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Schultz; and siblings William Nebus and Jackie Renkes.

Carol's family will remember her privately during this time. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Glen Eden Memorial Garden in Livonia, MI.
