Barbara Grace Miner

Barbara Grace Miner, 90, of Grayling, passed away January 3, 2021. She was born to the late Lyle  and Mary (Goward)  Dunckley on January 22, 1930 . Barbara married Bernie Hinkle in 1949. Bernie  preceded her in death in 1981. She later married Melvin Miner who also preceded her in death.

Barbara was an excellent seamstress, she made all of her children's clothing, worked at Bear Archery and was most proud of the speciality outfits she made for Fred Bear. She also taught others how to make porcelain dolls. Barbara was the Avon Lady for over 40 years. She enjoyed dancing, walking, playing poker, and attending her grandchildren’s sport events.

Barbara is survived by her children and families: Fred (Becky) Hinkle and children Melissa, Meghan, Ryan, Travis, Ashley, Jeremy; Rod (Wendy) Hinkle and daughter Erica; Robert, Paul, and Amanda, children of the late Barbara Jo Coon; Doug (Mary) Hinkle and children, Shane, Nate, and Lori; Craig (Jody) Hinkle and children, Dustin, Amy, Josh, Jake, and Josey; Mary Jane Swanson and daughter, Amber; Kayle (June) Hinkle and children, Keith, Jeff, and Kelly; son in law, Don Clark and daughters Cheri and Linda. Barbara has also been blessed with many great grandchildren.  Barbara is also survived by her sister Edna Kitchen.

Preceded in death by: parents; husbands, Bernie and Melvin; daughters, Barbara Jo and Judy; son in law, Jay Swanson, grandson, Zach; sisters, Mary, Shirley, Mildred, and Patricia; brothers, Jack, Erv, and Phil. 

Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Friday, January 8, 2021 between 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Celebration of Life will begin at 3:00 p.m.
