Barbara A. Humes

Barbara Humes, 90, of Grayling, MI., passed away on Friday, May 8, 2015. Barbara was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 3, 1924, to the late Clyde and Jane (Edwards) Travis. She married Gale S. Humes in July of 1947. They were married for 47 years before he passed away in 1994. She was the owner of Penrod's Canoe Rental. Survived by her children: Don (Sharon) Humes of Harrisville Tom Humes of Grosse Pointe Mary Sue (Tom) Renaud of Ann Arbor Jan (George) Merrill of Old Greenwich, Connecticut Jim Humes of Grayling. Grandchildren: Christopher Humes, Travis and Leland Renaud, Claire and Anne Merrill. Brother: Francis Travis of Germany. Preceded in death by her sister Elaine Heisesrman.
