Annette Elizabeth McCleave, 50, of Grayling, passed away on July 25, 2024 at her home unexpectedly.
She was born in Burton, MI on November 14, 1973 to Amy (Barnes) Thomas. Annette was a caring mother, with a big heart, and felt a calling to help the less fortunate. She helped many people through difficult times of need. She also liked to care for other children, treating them like her own, that she met along life's journey and she loved her grandchildren dearly; they meant the world to her. She immensely loved her late husband, Shane McCleave, Sr. and was with him since the age of 16.
Annette enjoyed canoeing on the AuSable River and camping. She had a passion for riding motorcycle and singing songs with her late husband, Shane. Making people smile and laugh was also special to her. She fancied her Dr. Pepper and goldfish crackers as well. She was a very good cook, even though she lost her touch in her ladder years. She enjoyed spending time with family and she had a very strong faith in God. Annette will be remembered fondly for her respect toward others. In the difficult weeks and months to come, please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers, as they have just lost both of their parents in such a short amount of time.
Annette is survived by her children, Amber McCleave, Shannon (Travis) Brandow, Shane (Tyler) McCleave, Jr. and Anna (Brian) McCleave; grandchildren, Melody, Casey, Layla, Piper, Liam, Colt, Maverick, and Amonni; brothers, Marc Thomas and Kevin Thomas; and mother, Amy Jenkins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Shane McCleave, Sr., Father Jerry Jenkins, Emanuel Blakely.
