Anna Mae Payne, 101, of Grayling, passed away on January 27, 2018. She was born on February 15, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Max and Lena Demenov. Anna was married to Bernard Payne for 47 years before he preceded her in death in 1984. She retired from Nabisco Corporation as Office Supervisor after 35 years of employment. Anna was an avid bowler. She was still bowling strong at 100 years old. She enjoyed crocheting and took great pride in caring for her yard. Survived by her daughter Bernadette (Steve) DeHart of Grayling. Grandchildren: Doug DeHart, Tammy Henning, Michelle Padgett, Russell and Chris DeHart. Great grandchildren: Jason, Nicholas,Lena, Katie, Kalynn, Kilee, and Zach. Great great grandchildren: Cody, Kayla, and Fae. Sisters: Alice Spinola and Stella Lapinia. Brother: George Demenov. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 2 sisters. Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Monday, January 29, 2018 between 3-7 p.m. and again on Tuesday beginning at 2:00 p.m. up until the time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in the spring.
