Laurence Francis Collins

Laurence Francis Collins, 85, of Grayling, passed away on May 12, 2019. He was born in Queens, New York on July 27, 1933 to Laurence and Inga (Pearson) Collins. Laurence served in the US Army. An architect, he designed the family home of 32 years in Garrison, New York. He was a renaissance man, with a great love of music, hunting, fishing, golf, and love of learning all throughout his life. The mother of his children, Carol Ann Collins of 44 years preceded him in death. He married Eugenia "Jeanie" Sloan in 2005, she survives him. Survived by his children: Linda, Laurence, Cathleen, Joanne, and Michael Collins, six grandchildren, and his extended Sloan Family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
