Joseph Melvin Grass

Joseph Melvin Grass, 72, of Luzerne, passed away on October 13, 2017. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 5, 1945 to the late Joseph and Mildred (Phillips) Grass. Joseph served in the US Army as a Corporal in The Vietnam War. He was retired from General Motors. Joseph married Donna Mills on October 20, 1995 in Waterford, Michigan. He enjoyed nature and the outdoors, hunting, and golfing. Joseph was a member of the Grayling Country Club. Survived by his wife Donna of nearly 22 years. Daughter: Denise Grass of Royal Oak. Step children: Jennifer (Shane) Savage of South Carolina; Sarah (Alejandro) Soto of North Carolina; and Daniel Mroz of Lewiston. Also survived by 6 grandchildren. Sister: DeeDee (Les) Sumner of Lapeer. Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Anna Holloway. Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held on October 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home.
