Jeanine E. (Sorenson) Jensen

Jeanine E. Jensen, 83, of Guthrie Lakes, Michigan passed away on February 23, 2017. Jeanine was born in Grayling, MI on February 5, 1934, a daughter of the late Evelyn (VanSickle) and Thorvald Sorenson. She married Earl Jensen on November 1, 1952 in Grayling, Michigan. Jeanine was previously the Historical Director of the Troy Historical Museum. She published a collection of poetry titled "The Poet Tree". Jeanine is survived by her husband Earl of 64 years, Sons: Christopher (Miranda Buys) Jensen of Flagstaff, Arizona and Eric (Wilma) Jenson of Oxford, Michigan. Grandchildren: Marshall (Sarah) Jensen, Derek (Kerry) Jensen, and Whitney Jensen. Great grandchildren: Nola, Cole, and Vivian. Sister: Rita McClain of Grayling. Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Twila Compton, and an infant sister, Carole. Family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 a.m. up until the time of the Memorial Service that will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
