Dean Louis Goss, 70, of Grayling passed away peacefully April 4, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. Dean was born January 30, 1948 in Grayling to Oscar & Claribell (Lovely) Goss. Dean unselfishly served the Grayling community for many years. He loved being a Sheriff Deputy (Ret) for Crawford County and Captain (Ret) for the Grayling Fire Department serving both roles for 30+ years. He served his country as a Marine in the Vietnam War. He was an active member of the FOP, American Legion, and VFW. Dean is survived by his wife of 26 years, Linda (Haynes) Goss; children, Tammy (Morse) Diehl, Gary (Rhonda) Morse and Dwayne (Colleen) Morse; grandchildren, Audrey, Nathan, Jake (Hilary), Anthony, Cassidy, Lacey and Bailey; step-grandchildren, Steven (Sam) Chris, Nick and Lily; great grandson Jayden; sister, Elaine Campbell; sister-in-law, Marlene Goss; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Les Goss, Jack Goss; and sister, Phyllis Armstrong. Visitation will take place Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 10-2 PM with a funeral service following at 2:00 PM at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the spring.
