In June, 2008 we installed a more handicap friendly approach to the entry of the Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. This eliminated the need to step up off of the driveway to enter the funeral home. Please feel free to drive up to the front entrance of the funeral home.

We now have a handicapped restroom on the main level of the funeral home.

In the summer of 2008, we repartnered with Patten Monument Company to be our monument and marker provider. Although we do not have an outdoor display of markers and monuments, we have a wonderful computer program that allows you to see your design at the time of your visit to Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. This also allows you to show it to other family members for their ideas and approval.

 In 2006, we moved the casket display to  the entry level, this eliminated the need to have to go to the lower level to look at the casket display. By utilizing this website, we can also allow you to preview the selections of the products we have to offer.

We are able to offer a less formal setting than our main chapel for a memorial service with seating for approximately 60-70 people. See the facilities section of this website.

We offer a reception area where you and your funeral guest can gather and share a luncheon after the service is over.

In 2010, we installed a new sound system and TV screens that allows those that attend services to see and hear the service regardless of where in the building that anyone would be including the entire lower level.

The new sytem installed also allows a DVD of photos of the life of  the deceased presentation to play during visitation.  We are also able to record the service on a DVD for the family to have as a keepsake.

Our new system  allows us to be able to broadcast the service on the internet if it is the desire of the family. This can be helpful if there is a member of the family that cannot for whatever reason (military deployment or illness etc) attend the service.
