Rose Marie Dumas, 88, of Grayling and New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home in Grayling, with her family by her side. Rose was born on December 19, 1928 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Frank and Mary Capo. She married Joseph Cyril Dumas on October 29, 1947. They were married for 68 years before he preceded her in death in 2015. Rose and Joseph lived in Piscataway,New Jersey as their primary residence for most of the year and came to Grayling for summers for over 50 years. They enjoyed following the Canoe Marathon every year. Rose had many interests that include arts and crafts, beading, gardening, collecting dolls (kewpies), cooking, entertaining, and was said to be the 'master of bridge". Survived by her children: Renee (Gary Pinel) Bickar of New Jersey and Rick (Francie) Dumas of California. Grandchildren: Beau, William, and Rachel Dumas. Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 between 2-4 p.m. Funeral will begin at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
